Description
Infrared panels have a wide range of applications; they are used both in residential and commercial heating systems. They are used in homes and apartments, as well as in offices, shops, workshops and factories.
EcoSun U+ heating panels can be hung either on the wall (the optimal height for the panels is about 1.2 m) or directly on the ceiling. Mounting on the ceiling allows the highest efficiency and intensity of infrared heat. When the heating panels are mounted vertically on the wall, the proportion of heating by convection to infrared heating is higher.
EcoSun U+ panels are equipped with thermal protection that allows them to be placed both on the wall (vertical) and the ceiling (horizontally).
What is infrared electric heating and what is infrared?
Infrared is completely healthy and natural. All objects with a temperature higher than absolute zero emit heat in the form of infrared waves. This can be easily seen with infrared cameras. Thanks to them we can be sure that also living beings such as humans or animals emit infrared waves, so it’s hard to think that they can be harmful in any way. From a physical point of view, infrared is electromagnetic radiation with a wavelength of 780nm to 1 mm. In the spectrum of electromagnetic waves, it is between visible light and microwave radiation (radio waves).
How does infrared heating work?
Infrared waves are absorbed by objects. Walls absorb infrared waves and dry. The infrared eliminates the formation of fungus and other microorganisms in them. At the same time, the same waves do not dry the air, which has a soothing effect on the mucous membranes and protects against colds.
Infrared panels are widely used in sanitary buildings, hospitals, nursing homes, i.e. wherever convection heating (based on the movement of heated air) can negatively affect the health of residents. This is due to the fact that sick people, the elderly and children feel particularly severe fluctuations in temperature and the presence of allergens.
Infrared heating is completely safe for health. For many years now, this method of heating has been used in incubators for newborns.
Using infrared heating panels can help to:
- Get rid of mould and fungus (moulded walls causing allergies and an unpleasant musty smell
- Achieve more even temperatures (underheating often causes rheumatic problems)
- Improve the quality of the air (Too dry air causing respiratory problems. Traditional convector heating raises the level of the dust and allergens in the air by the constant air circulation)
- Achieve more even and pleasant temperature in the room. Uneven heating of the body (cold feet, hot forehead) often causing colds.
This heater can be painted
Infrared heaters can be painted and blend in seamlessly with your interior. They can be painted in one colour – the same as the ceiling or the walls, or you can also decorate them with an elaborate pattern – whatever suits your current decor! A thin layer of acrylic, waterbased paint will help you top transform the heater into a piece of art.
