Benefits of far infrared heating:
#7 Infrared heaters are cost effective.

Increased energy-efficiency

Infrared heaters reduce energy consumption and save you money!

When compared with more traditional types of heater, infrared heating panels consume way less energy. Measured in kW/h (Kilowatts per hour), the electrical energy required to power a regular electric heater is around 2.0 kW/h. We can talk about the similar consumption in case of electric fan heaters and slightly less in case of standard convector and an oil-filled heater will (1.0 to 1.5 kW/h).

By comparison, infrared heating panels consume between 0.3 and 0.9 kW/h. This will of course depend on the size of the panel, with smaller panels such as smaller EcoSun U+300W 59×59×3 cm (300W)  being at the lower end, and  bigger panels such as EcoSun U+1000W 119×85×3cm (1000W) such as at the uppermost limit.

Increasing the energy-efficiency of your home often costs some money to begin with, but with the far infrared heating panels, you will get the return in the form of reduced energy costs within a short space of time.

Have a look:

  Infrared Heater Electric radiator
Watt 600W 1200W
Units of electricity used in kWh 0.6kW/H 1.2kW/h
Electricity consumption over 30 days with 8 hours of usage. 144kW 288kW
Electricity cost over 30 days €27.36 €54.72

This is compared based on average prices of electricity in Ireland.

So you see, if you can save a significant amounts on your heating bill in just one month and get the return on your investment relatively quickly.

Of course, the fact that far infrared heating panels use less energy and save you money in comparison with traditional forms of heating also has positive implications for the environment.
